April 16 was our court date in Ethiopia- and our adoption was approved! Kenyon Belachew is officially our son! We are now waiting for some final paperwork in Ethiopia, and then we will receive our travel dates. We are hoping to travel in mid-May. We will spend one week in the country for the adoption, and if our schedule allows, we would like to travel one week early to do some sightseeing in Ethiopia (and adjust to the time change before meeting a toddler). We have researched some areas of Ethiopia we would like to visit. For now, we wait and pray for our travel date, and continue to get Kenyon's room ready and everything prepared for our travel and his arrival. I'll post pictures of his room when it is ready- I'm getting close to finishing up.
We could not have asked for a smoother adoption process so far- but we are definitely anxious and ready to meet our son!
